What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device and reads back on your next visit. They hold the session together, remember preferences and, in some cases, measure traffic or connect a visit to an advertising campaign. Alongside cookies we use tools that work the same way: pixels, tags and browser local storage. On this page we call all of them cookies for short.
How consent works here
On your first visit a panel asks which categories to enable. Until you choose, the Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft tags run in denied consent mode: they set no measurement or advertising cookies and send no identifiers. Necessary cookies run anyway, because the site does not work without them.
Your choice is stored for 6 months in the vcc_consent cookie and recorded together with the date, the categories enabled, the notice version, a truncated IP address and the user agent. You can withdraw it whenever you like: closing the panel with the X counts as refusing everything except the necessary cookies.

Legal basis
Necessary cookies rest on the legitimate interest in delivering the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Art. 31 FADP). Everything else starts only after your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting your browsing.
Other ways to manage cookies
Besides the panel, every browser lets you block or delete stored cookies. The steps differ from one program to the next: see the guides for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. If you block all cookies, parts of the site such as the forms and the booking calendar may stop working.
The site also honours the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we treat the visit as a refusal of the optional categories without asking you anything.
Updates
When we add or remove a tool we update this page and the date at the top. If something changes in the categories that require consent, the panel comes back so you can choose again.
